Signal Flow - Live Sound Engineer Training (Level 2)

Signal Flow - Live Sound Engineer Training (Level 2) is the second level of our Live Engineer Training Workshop Series. It is designed for the sound engineer that is currently active in the live sound industry and desires to hone their techniques and approaches to sound engineering. 

What is it:

This workshop is set as either a three (3) day or four (4) day workshop. The workshop takes participants into advanced concepts of live sound for the experienced Live Sound Engineer.

Who Should Attend:

This workshop is suited to live sound engineers, technicians, and volunteers, who are active in the live sound industry. 

Outcomes:

Participants, by the end of the workshop, will be able to execute the advanced activities of a live sound engineer such as Sound System Design, Wireless Systems Design and set up, Front of House mixing and Stage Monitor Mixing.

Topics Covered:

  • Sound System Selection and Design 
  • Wireless Radio Technology - Microphones & In-Ear Monitors 
  • Front of House Mixing (Point Source and Line Array)
  • Monitor (Stage) Mixing (stage wedges and in Ear Monitors)
  • Live Sound Recording (Multi Track and Stereo Recording)

This workshop is supported by an international network of engineers and global product suppliers. Participants will benefit from direct interaction with world class live/ studio sound engineers and global leading equipment manufacturers. 

Materials:

All participants will receive digital/ printed handouts.

Duration/ Dates:

This workshop is delivered over eighteen (18) contact hours in one of two options as outlined below:

Option 1:

Three (3) days - Thursday, Friday and Saturday daytime. Three (3) daytime sessions.

Option 2:

Four (4) days - Thursday evening, Friday evening and Saturday daytime. Two (2) evening sessions and one (1) daytime session.  

Support:

Participants will have access to support beyond the workshop via e-mail as well as video chat, whatsapp or phone. 

Additionally all workshop participants will be logged into a closed online community that allows them to receive regular industry updates and information. 

Certification:

A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of all modules.

Cost/ Payment:

The workshop fee is two hundred and twenty dollars ($220 USD)

A booking fee** of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150 USD) is required to secure your place on the workshop. This payment must be completed two (2) days before the start date of the workshop. The balance of seventy dollars ($70 USD) will be due on the first day of the workshop.

Discounts:

Discounts are available for groups of three (3) or more. Closed/ tailored workshops can be booked for groups of six (6) and more.
